Fellow Huntsville Division Alumni,

I've been contacted by Kera Haugen, Investigator for VanNorman
Investigations, to help with a claim by the surviving family of "Lep"
Wenzler, who had TC#2615 in Section 472 in 1960. The claim involves
exposure to asbestos and I thought I might help since I was involved in
our use of asbestos-phenolic for nozzle components and
asbestos-polyisoprene for case insulation; but, neither is of current
interest to them. If you have knowledge of Thiokol's other applications
of asbestos you should make note of the attached email.

Hi Cecil.  Here is a write-up if you would be so kind as to put it out
there for the people from Thiokol.  I appreciate your assistance.

Leopold Wenzler was a former employee of Thiokol in Hunstville.  He
passed away from Mesothelioma.  Mesothelioma is cancer that is caused by
the exposure to asbestos.

There are several companies that supplied their products to Thiokol that
contained asbestos. There were no health warnings on these products
about the dangers of asbestos.

Mr. Wenzel previously had a lawsuit against some of the manufacturers
these products.  That lawsuit has concluded.  There are now a few
companies left that are in bankruptcy.  Before filing for bankruptcy,
the court required them to set aside fund in a trust account for
families who lost loved ones because of the exposure to their deadly
products.

Mr. Wenzler's family and their law firm are looking for someone  with
knowledge of  asbestos containing products that were used at Thiokol.
If you have any information, please call or text Kera at 507-822-2055 or
email at Kera at vnlis.com. Thank you on behalf of the Wenzler family.
