*/Rogers C. “Foots” McCauley, Jr. /*was born August 23, in Nashville, TN 
to Rogers and Harriett McGee McCauley. He attended Hillsboro High School 
in Nashville, TN and graduated from Gadsden High School in Gadsden, AL 
in 1952. He went on to Auburn University. He was given the nickname 
“Foots” by his Delta Chi fraternity brothers because of his big feet. He 
and his feet received a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1956.

  Later in 1956, he accepted a job with Thiokol Corporation on Redstone 
Arsenal. Throughout his employment, he worked on propulsion systems for 
several missile defense programs, and in his spare time, married Angéle 
Scott, raised two kids, and several cats, birds, and rabbits.

  He retired from Thiokol in 1993. He and Angéle spent the next thirty 
years traveling the world.

He was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, worked as a 
Red Cross Volunteer at Huntsville Hospital, was active with the Thiokol/ 
Huntsville Division Alumni Association and other volunteer activities in 
Huntsville.

  A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, November 9^th at 
Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntsville, AL. Visitation begins at 
10:00 am and the service starts at 11:00 am.
