Vera Earlene Webb, 90, was born on January 21, 1936 to Elbert and Jessie
Mae Boles. She grew up in Huntsville, AL and graduated from S.R. Butler
High School in 1954. In September of that same year, she married Milton
Scott Bagwell (deceased 1969) and in 1959 they welcomed their son,
Scott. In 1971, she met and married William Harold Webb. At that time,
our family became complete.
She worked as the director of the Child Development Center at Hillsboro
Heights Baptist Church and then she was the Assistant to the Director of
the Madison Baptist Association until her retirement.
She found joy in spending time with friends and family and serving in
the church in multiple roles throughout her life. She was a spitfire
when it came to playing UNO and enjoyed winning just about every game in
the process. There was much laughter at seeing that side of her. She was
a friend to all and never met a stranger. Loving people came natural to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Leon, and her
first husband Rev. Scott Bagwell.
She is survived by the love of her life for the last 55 years, her
husband, Harold. She is also survived by her children, Scott, Mary,
Charles, and Becky (Tim), her granddaughters Niki Ballentine (Eric),
Karen Nix (Wayne), and Amanda Faulkner (Will), and a host of
great-grandchildren that she loved and cherished more than words can tell.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Valley View Health and
Rehab Center, and Affinity Hospice and staff.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The
Gideons International Madison Camp.
