<div class="obituary-text"> <font size="+2">James W. Tucker, 89
[May 7, 1931-September 10, 2020], of Huntsville passed away at
his home surrounded by his family. <br>
</font></div>
<div class="obituary-text"><font size="+2">He was a loving
Christian husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and
family member. Wherever he went he made numerous friends. <br>
</font></div>
<div class="obituary-text"><font size="+2">Mr. Tucker was also a
Korean War Veteran, a Thiokol employee from 1953-1997, a
founding member of the Rocket City Basketball Officials
Association, which later became the North Alabama Basketball
Officials Association, and was inducted into the Huntsville
Madison County Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003. He was an avid
fan of the Auburn Tigers, UAH Chargers, golf and anything
basketball. <br>

<div class="obituary-text"><font size="+2">He was preceded in
death by his wife, Betty Atchley Tucker; father, Willie
Tucker; mother, Maggie Tucker; great grandson, Tony Tucker and
brother, Bobby Tucker. Survivors include son, Larry Tucker;
son, Rick Tucker (Wanda); grandchildren, Angel Parker, Anthony
Tucker (Selena), Tracy Williams (Jeremy), Melinda VanZoeren
(Geoff), Nathan Tucker, April Jossey (Josh);
great-grandchildren, Brittney Dessinger (Garett), Luna Parker,
Logan Parker, Alyssa Tucker, Addyson Williams, Arden
VanZoeren, Silas Tucker, Ella Jossey, Kensley Williams, Tucker
VanZoeren, Harper VanZoeren, Brannan VanZoeren; sisters,
Willie Sue Glover, Lena Mae Brewer (G.L.) <br>

<div class="obituary-text"><font size="+2">The family wants to
express love and appreciation to Frances Hughes, his
sweetheart and best friend for the past seven years. Their
companionship brought renewal of dad's spirit as they enjoyed
the little things in life and simply spending time together. <br>
</font></div>
<div class="obituary-text"><font size="+2">Visitation will be from
1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2020 at West
Huntsville Church of Christ, with social distancing and masks
required. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Burial
will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens. <br>
